Itinerary

Day – 01: Muscat - Nizwa - Al Hamra

08:00 hrs: This morning, we head to Al Hamra to explore its historic and cultural sights.

Our first stop of the day is at Nizwa, the cultural heart of Oman and the birthplace of Islam in the Sultanate. Visit Nizwa Souq, famous for its intricately hand-carved Khanjars (daggers) and exquisite silver jewelry.

Next, we travel to Jabrin Castle, a stunning 17th-century fortress that once served as a center of Omani learning. The castle is renowned for its magnificent ceiling paintings and beautifully crafted woodwork, showcasing the finest examples of Omani artistry.

We stop at the terrace farming village of Wadi Ghul on the way to Jebel Shams.

Day – 02: Al Hamra - Misfat Al Abrayeen - Al Hoota Caves – Al Hamra

08:00 hrs: Depart from The View Oman for a visit to Misfat Al Abriyeen, a charming mountain village known for its centuries-old stone dwellings and lush date plantations.

Next, head to Al Hoota Cave in Al Hamra, a fascinating underground wonder with stunning rock formations and a subterranean lake.

Return to The View Oman and unwind for the evening. Take a refreshing dip in the infinity pool, indulge in a rejuvenating treatment at Falak – The Spa (available at an additional charge), or simply stroll along the scenic pathways, soaking in the breathtaking views.

Day – 03: Al Hamra - Wahiba Sand

Enjoy a delightful breakfast at the hotel before setting off on an exciting desert adventure.

08:00 hrs: Depart from Al Hamra and journey to Wahiba Sands, a breathtaking expanse of rolling red and white sand dunes that rise up to 200 meters. Home to diverse flora and fauna, these shifting dunes create mesmerizing landscapes, making them a paradise for photographers.

Immerse yourself in Omani culture with a visit to a Bedouin camp, where you’ll experience authentic nomadic traditions and warm hospitality.

At Arabian Nights Resort & Spa, unwind in the pool overlooking the desert, sipping on international cocktails, beers, or wine. Indulge in world-class treatments at Rihla Spa, or for thrill-seekers, take on the adventure of quad biking across the dunes.

Choose Your Evening Experience:
Option 1: Sunset by Camel: Embark on a serene sunset camel ride across the golden dunes. As the sun sets, watch the sky transform into a breathtaking canvas of orange and pink, creating a truly magical desert experience.

Option 2: Dinner on the Dunes: Savor a lavish Arabian dinner under the starry desert sky. Enjoy an array of traditional flavors in an enchanting setting, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the dunes.

Day – 04: Wahiba Sands – Wadi Bani Khalid- Wahiba Sand

Choose Your Sunrise Adventures:

Option 1: Sunrise by Camel (06:00 hrs) Begin your day with a peaceful camel ride through the tranquil desert as the sun rises over the dunes. Witness the golden hues of dawn painting the landscape, creating a serene and magical atmosphere.

Option 2: Hot Air Ballooning (06:00 hrs) Soar above the Wahiba Sands in a hot-air balloon, offering a breathtaking aerial view of the desert. As the sun rises, admire the vast expanse of rolling dunes and the stunning play of light and shadow from above.

Aftrwards, visit Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most picturesque wadis. Stroll along the water, admire the stunning rock formations, and relax by the crystal-clear pools. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the cool waters, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature.

Embark on a desert safari by camel, guided by experienced Bedouin experts who will lead you through the shifting sands, sharing stories of the desert’s unique ecosystem and cultural heritage.

After your camel ride, enjoy a delightful picnic lunch in the heart of the desert, savoring traditional Omani flavors while soaking in the breathtaking views of the golden dunes.

Day – 05: Wahiba Sands – Sur- Muscat

After breakfast at the resort, the journey continues towards the coastal town of Sur, a place steeped in maritime heritage. A visit to the fish jetty offers a glimpse into the daily life of local fishermen, while the traditional dhow factory showcases the remarkable craftsmanship that has defined Sur’s shipbuilding legacy for centuries. The famous dhow, Fatah Al Khair, a historical wooden vessel built over 70 years ago without the use of nails, stands as a testament to Oman’s seafaring past. Although visitors cannot board the ship, getting up close allows for an appreciation of its intricate design and historical significance.

A brief stop at Al-Ayjah Lighthouse provides an opportunity to capture stunning views of this historic structure, originally built by the Portuguese and later repurposed as a guiding beacon for wooden dhows. Continuing the journey along the coast, a stop at Fins Beach invites you to take a refreshing swim in its turquoise waters, a perfect way to cool off before heading inland.

The next destination is the stunning Bimah Sinkhole, a natural limestone crater with striking blue-green water at its base. Formed by the collapse of an underground cavern, it remains one of Oman’s most unique geological wonders. The adventure continues at Wadi Arbayeen, where deep pools of water nestled among lush date palms provide a final moment of tranquility before the journey back to Muscat. As the road winds through Wadi Mazara, the trip concludes with check-in at your hotel in Muscat, marking the end of an extraordinary exploration of Oman’s landscapes, culture, and heritage.
